Transferring photos to a memory stick?

Hey all, I'm sorry if this is an obvious question but I'm afraid completely technology illiterate. Lol, I have about 200 photos on my PC and I want to take them into town and get them developed, I have a USB memory stick handy and I wondered if it is possible to transfer the pictures onto it so I am able to plug it in to one of the little photo kiosks. In idiots terms would someone tell me how it is done? =D Thank you! X
