Online database for Automobile parts.?

Ok, I am looking for a database that when you put in a car and the type of part needed it will pull up any part that will fit that car whether it is from the same model car or from a different make or year vehicle but its parts are interchangeable. I don't know if there is a database already created or if I would have to find a certain company that could compile the information. Any help would be greatly appreciated. If what I am asking for makes no sense I will do my best to rephrase if asked. Thanks
