Do you think having a friend of a certain oppressed minority group automatically disqualifies you as a bigot?

I don't hate white people at all, but let's PRETEND that I do just for this question. I hate white people but I have a boss who I love dearly. She's the sweetest person I've ever met, I consider her my godmother and she happens to be white. I STILL think that'll make me racist even if I made an exception for ONE white person. The same thing applies for white people who go around making racial comments about black people and then defend themselves by saying "some of my best friends are black!". The same thing applies to a straight who says that he's not phobic because he has a gay cousin that he's really close to. I think it's bullshyt. What do you all think about this? I'm sure we all have different opinions.
